Carl Tallent is a set designer, painter, window dresser, and educator based in New York City. A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Carl attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where he was first interested in performance, then quickly transitioned into design and painting after getting a job in the scene shop and soon started designing shows in the college theatre program. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in theatre, Carl relocated to New York City after receiving a scenic painting internship at the prestigious Julliard School, then left New York for three years to earn his Masters Degree in Set Design from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Since then, Carl has been back in New York and working in NYC, regionally, and internationally as a designer and painter.
